The catchment area of this wastewater treatment plant covers 13 municipalities and thus has a population equivalent of 460,000. For the operators, reliable 24-hour operation and consistency were therefore important criteria when selecting the mixing technology.
For years, the responsible wastewater association has therefore relied on the proven combination of the OPTIMIX submersible mixer and the SUMA suspension device. The mixers are installed in a secondary thickener, in a rainwater overflow tank, in a tank for mixing precipitation agents and a flow generator in a DENI tank. Most recently, the OPTIMIX submersible mixer with 4 kW made of SS304, which is particularly suitable for aggressive media, was integrated into the mixing concept together with the EV4 suspension device.
One third of the plant's feed consists of municipal wastewater and two thirds of industrial wastewater, mainly from dairies. The wastewater treatment plant also supplies 7.5 million kilowatt hours per year, making it 100% self-sufficient in energy. The surplus energy is fed into the grid.
