In this project, the goal was to reliably homogenize swine manure in a 56-feet-long plastic tank with a diameter of 10 feet. The dry matter content ranges from 6 - 7%, peaking at up to 8%.
Our customer’s requirement: to use only one agitator, if possible.
Nevertheless, the conditions of the installation made the planning challenging. The existing access hatch was not centrally located but was to be used for the installation if possible. At the same time, the tank geometry, the medium, the mounting forces, and the flow pattern had to be carefully coordinated.
After evaluating all components, we decided to install our SUMA GIANTMIX FR light long axis agitator on the tank wall using an additional mounting bracket.
This creates effective flow within the tank without having to install a second agitator.
